Slow Poison Challenge Coin

Out on the wild west coast of the Highlands one quiet morning, while I was still recovering from sepsis, my son and I were beachcombing when he spotted something special in the water — a tiny, perfect shard of old pottery. It was so unique he refused to leave it behind.

“We need to do something with this, Dad,” he said. We took it home, dug through his grandfather’s old books, and there it was… the words “Slow Poison.” From that little fragment and those two words, the whole idea was born.

The morale patch. The challenge coin. Time is venom. Slow poison. You only get one life — live it. There is no true north. You’ll take wrong turns, hit storms, lose your bearings… but you keep going. You figure it out as you go. And somewhere ahead, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel. Along the edge of the coin itself sits a quiet nod to the Commando units and the Clearance Diver units — a small, lasting remembrance of those who serve and have served.
