The Purple Helmets

 The exact History or how and when the Purple Helmets were born will probably remain a secret, however, the most accepted account appears to have the order Establishment in 1985.

Members of the Purple Helmets over the years got up to some Legendary antics, much of which was written about in a short history made several years after it’s Establishment.

 The “Underground” Status: Often viewed with tongue-in-cheek amusement or skepticism by the formal military chain of command (“the grownups”), membership to this unique  Underground Secret Order was predominantly by being ambushed in the “No Go” accommodation lines of 58 Sqn EOD/Search and put through a daunting indoctrination series of ‘tests’! those tests are known only to those who went through them and remain a myth to those who did not, they can be found only in the secret scrolls of the Purple Helmets.
